REPURPOSED BOOKS

So... I've been really into the idea of heirloom design lately and this is my first (baby tiny small) project I did with it in mind. I love repurposing old books. Whenever I find one someone is about to throw away, I snatch it up and make it into something!

My idea for this is to use it as a substitute for a ring bearer's pillow in a wedding. I didn't have any fancy rings to shoot inside it, but I think it's easy enough to picture, right? After the wedding you can keep it on the bookshelf, or on the night stand, or where ever really...

I like the idea that it can be passed on through generations too, don't you?

Rachel- This is such a brilliant idea!! I'm showing my fiance tonight! I think we have decided to nix the ring bearer position from the wedding party, but this might change our minds...
Repurposing of books has been on our minds too lately, we just haven't had the time execute anything yet...I'm glad there's more interest!

Oh my, I love this idea just too much! Think of people using their favorite old book for this.

Love this, and I love that you're saving old books! When my local library would have book sales or throw away old books I always tried to get to them first. :)
